Spam Call and Junk Mail Reduction Checklist
If you are searching how to stop spam calls, remove your address from people-search sites, or reduce unwanted marketing outreach, use this process.
Week 1: baseline cleanup
- Run an exposure check in the scanner.
- Submit opt-outs for Whitepages, BeenVerified, PeopleConnect, and Acxiom first.
- Save confirmation emails and screenshot each final confirmation page.
Week 2: second-wave removals
- Work through additional broker listings from the opt-out guide.
- Prioritize listings that expose your phone, current address, or close relatives.
- Mark false positives so your next scans stay clean and focused.
Ongoing: maintenance schedule
- Rescan every 30-60 days for reappearing data.
- Re-submit removals for returned listings and track dates.
- Keep a single log of what was removed, where, and when.
What this process can and cannot do
Data broker opt-outs can reduce new exposure that feeds spam lists. They do not erase every historical list instantly, and they do not stop all robocalls immediately.
Results improve when cleanup is repeated and focused on high-impact brokers first.
